International medical teams from Spain, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Great Britain and Switzerland arrived in the Republic of Moldova to support the efforts of the medical system of the Republic of Moldova to help refugees.
These teams work at border crossings and in temporary accommodation centers for refugees. Their work is coordinated by the Ministry of Health together with the World Health Organization.
From the moment the state of emergency was declared the medical teams of the national health institutions have been assisting refugees at border crossings and in temporary accommodation centers. With the arrival of international teams in the country, part of the medical staff will be replaced.
It should be noted that in total more than 1,200 refugees applied to state healthcare institutions, of which more than 400 people, mostly children, were hospitalized. Primary health care staff consulted 1,491 refugees.
