On 6th May, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Protection received a humanitarian aid worth 50.000 euros from Germany. The aid is constituted by protective suits for the medical workers who are actively fighting COVID-19. The suits were made by a Moldovan company.

 ‘On behalf of the citizens of Republic of Moldova and medical workers, we thank the people of Germany for their aid in these troubled times. We also want to express our thanks for their support of the light industry of our country. Germany is our strategic partner in all our business lines’, said Viorica Dumbraveanu.

 ‘I am pleased to offer the Republic of Moldova our aid. We are convinced that only together we will manage to overcome this crisis. We are open to continuing our fruitful collaboration’, has declared the Ambassador of Federal Republic of Germany in Moldova, Angela Ganninger.

The protective equipment will be distributed to all strategic medical institutions which treat COVID-19 patients. These are approved by the National Agency for Public Health, ensuring a high protection level for the medical workers.
